Terms of Use
The app is licensed under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement:

The app does not offer medical advice. Recommended intakes are general reference values; talk to
a doctor or dietitian before changing your diet for health reasons.
Privacy Policy
In short
- Your food diary, your body parameters and your Health data stay on your device. We cannot see
them. - The free version shows ads from Google. Google receives device and usage data to do that.
- The app sends us anonymous usage statistics and crash reports. They never include the food
you log or what you search for. - The app has no accounts. We do not know your name or email address unless you write to us.
Data that stays on your device
The app stores what you enter — age, sex, weight, activity level, pregnancy or breastfeeding
status, your food diary, the foods you create and your own nutrient targets — only on your
device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. It may be included in the device backups you
make with Apple.
Deleting the app deletes this data.
Health app
If you turn on weight sync, the app reads your body weight from the Apple Health app to keep
your parameters up to date. The app does not write to Health. Health data stays on your device.
It is never sent to us, never shared with third parties and never used for advertising or
analytics.
You can turn the access off in the iOS Settings app under Health → Data Access & Devices.
Foods you share with other users
When you create a food and leave Share this product with other users on, the app uploads
the food to a public database kept in Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). The upload contains the food's
name, nutrient values, portions and the Author field if you filled it in. Every user of the
app can find and see it. Do not put personal information in these fields.
To stop sharing a food, turn the switch off for that food or delete it in the app. You can also
ask us by email to remove it.
Advertising
The free version shows banner ads provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC).
Buying the full version or the ad removal removes the ads, and the app then stops loading them.
To show and measure ads, Google's software in the app collects:
- the device's IP address, from which an approximate location is derived;
- device identifiers, including the advertising identifier (IDFA) if you allow tracking;
- which ads were shown and tapped;
- diagnostic data such as crashes and performance of the ad software.
Google and its advertising partners may use this data to personalise ads. How Google uses it:

Your choices:
- Consent form. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app
asks for your consent before ads use your data. You can change your answer at any time in the
app under Settings → Privacy options. - Tracking permission. iOS asks whether the app may track you. If you refuse, the
advertising identifier is not shared. You can change this in the iOS Settings app under
Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Analytics and crash reports
We use PostHog (PostHog Inc., data stored in the European Union) to learn which parts of the app
are used and to find crashes.
What is sent: the screens you open and the actions you take (for example, that a food was added,
not which food), whether you have the full version, the app version, the device model and iOS
version and crash reports. Your IP address is not stored. This data is tied to a random
identifier created by the app, not to your name, your Apple Account or the advertising
identifier.
What is never sent: the foods and dishes you log or create, your search queries, your body
parameters and your Health data.
In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, analytics is off until you allow it. You
can change your answer at any time in the app under Settings → Share usage data; turning it off
also deletes the random identifier from your device. In other countries analytics is on by
default; write to us if you want your data deleted.
We keep analytics data for 12 months.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. The
app only learns from Apple which purchases are active on your device.
When you write to us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use them only to
answer you.
Why we may process this data (GDPR)
- Personalised ads and analytics in the EEA and the UK: your consent, which you can withdraw at
any time as described above. - Analytics elsewhere, crash reports and non-personalised ads: our legitimate interest in
keeping the app working and free. - Answering your emails: our legitimate interest in supporting users.
Where the data is processed
Analytics data is stored in the European Union. Google and Apple may process data in other
countries, including the United States, under their own safeguards.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to
object to its use and to complain to your data protection authority. Most of your data is only
on your device, and you control it there. For the rest, write to
calories.and.nutrients.counter@gmail.com. Because analytics data is tied to a random identifier
and not to you, we may need your help to find it.
We do not sell personal data.
Children
The app is not directed at anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal
data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will
delete it.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date at the top.
