What's new in Calories and nutrients counter 2.17
Hello everyone!
Good news, Calories and nutrients counter version 2.17 has been released.
The main goal of this update was to implement working with a new API for the English database. The previous API will be closed on 31 March 2020. So users who will not update the app will not be able to search English products, unfortunately.
Additionally, I have made some changes in UI. There were few bugs that, I think, made a bad impression from the very beginning of the app using. For example, there was a grey overlay on the navigation bar on onboarding screens. Or very small "Save" buttons height, again, on onboarding screens.
The application doesn't support dark mode yet. Yes, a lot of time has gone since this feature has been presented. So I added a flag that prevents applying dark mode for the app.
I have increased the minimum support iOS version from 9.3 to 10.3. I am going to write about it a little bit later.
Finally, sending local push notification was added. Now users will receive notification in one, three, and seven days if they don't use the app. Of course, if they allow sending pushes. I don't wanna my app to be annoying.
Displaying of search results was also changed. There are a product name, its category, and brand owner (if this information is provided) on the result cell.
I have registered a separate google account for this app and created this blog. So an email for users' feedback was changed from mine to a new one. And Privacy Policy and Terms of Use button leads to the appropriate page on this blog. There is no more separate page where a user should accept an agreement in the app.
The last thing I have changed is some improvements regarding analysis gathering.
That's all.
